As my desired, I have a chance to return Hanoi city in Autumn 2015. Now I’m very excited to discover the beauty of Hanoi Autumn. Follow me to see how I experience the wonderful moments in this place 😉

Day 1

The weather is quite pleasure as the rumor. I wake up early to enjoy the soft windy and charming sunshine. Maybe this is the reason why people in Hanoi Autumn is more friendly, comfortable.

I see a little girl on the road, her face is innocent. This scene makes me remember my childhood, the time I don’t have to think too much like me at present.

However, I’m still happy with my growth because I can do whatever I want. For example, travel to Hanoi Autumn and write this article to share my experience. It’s not totally bad with the growth, right? ^^

6.30am – 7.15am

My breakfast today is hot spring roll. Just a shop selling hot spring roll on the sidewalk but it has excellent quality and not familiar to the one sold in the big stores. The menu is diverse with different types of rolls: vegetarian rolls, shrimp rolls, egg rolls,… to choose. My option is the most popular dish: mushroom & shrimp rolls. White roll is coated with the ultra plump, fragrant mushrooms and natural sweetness of fresh prawn.

In addition, they have the delicious sauce with cinnamon that make hot spring roll more great.

7.30am – 9am

Then, I come back to West Lake which is located in the northwest of Hanoi city with an area of 500 hectares. It takes about 1 hour to go around 17 km of this lake. I don’t know why I wanna visit this lake after the first time in Hanoi Winter. I think it brings to me a peaceful feeling, forget all of pressure of life.

Every dawn, hundreds of people, both young and old go to this place to inhaling fresh air and exercise.

Old people practice exercise every morning

Sometimes, there is a vendor with colorful flowers on bike going slowly to the center of Hanoi. I’ll tell you a story of Hanoi vendor in another article. I’m sure it’ll make you want to take a trip to discover Hanoi city immediately.

9.30am – 10.30am

Thenceforth, I move to Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam, a famous destination in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is located at 58 Quoc Tu Giam Street, Dong Da District.

Quoc Tu Giam was built in 1076 during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong, where training the talents of the country. Besides, it is the first university in our country. It also has the most superficial scale condition and typical art of Hanoi. It is considered as the symbol of culture, history of Vietnam. There are some information you should refer before visiting this place:

The vendors are chatting in the morning

11.45am  – 12.15am

Although I ever tried all of breads in the world but I’m confident that Vietnamese bread is the most of tasty bread. If you don’t believe me, come Hanoi city and get it in one day.

All simple ingredients are: sausage, pate, cucumber, herbs, soya sauce, chili, pepper… Omg, mentioning it make me craving. Bread here is really quality than its price 20,000VND/ pcs. You can try Vietnamese bread wherever you want, there is at least one bread shop on the almost Hanoi streets.

12.30pm – 2pm

I take a short rest to recharge and have full of energy to discover more interesting things in Hanoi Autumn.

2.30pm – 4pm

Goodbye the ancient air, I move to a modern space this afternoon: Hanoi Creative City. It is located at 1 Luong Yen which is supposed that the biggest entertainment combination in Hanoi city.

There are 20 floors to take, so you don’t have to worry about what will end soon for exploring. Outdoor spaces (called Creative Square) will be a place for the young people can experience street art, musical performances, and outdoor recreation activities. This area has even larger colorful containers which are decorated to design a cafe restaurant, bar.

If entered, you will be immediately overwhelmed by the array of colorful piece of architectural brilliance, create an atmosphere of fun and modern, full of creativity and freshness.

4.30pm – 5.30pm

I told you I’ll turn back Thanh Cong market to enjoy other street foods here, right? Today I try “nem tai thinh” (sliced pork ears with roasted rice). Fleshy flavor and crispy of roasted rice mixed of sliced pork ears. The fig leaf tannins, spicy basil leaf pangolins, lime leaves little bitterness with sweet sauce will create interesting impressions while you enjoy this special dish.

6pm – 7pm

Then I go to the center to try “banh duc nong” in a heirloom shop at Le Ngoc Han alley. So the road to this shop is narrow, I have to send back my motorbike in the lane for an old man taking care of it. Hostess here doesn’t mind the furniture, shop layouts are as long long time ago.

The stranger thing is that this place has lasted 30 years. 30 years, it’s a long time for normal shop, sometimes had to change careers but this shop. Furthermore, the price is very cheap. Just 15,000VND/ bowl with fried bread, tofu and black mushrooms, onion. Eating this dish in the cool weather is a wonderful feeling.

7.30pm – 10pm

End of dinner, I call for my friends to meet at the most famous Church in Hanoi at Ly Quoc Su street. We’re talking while drinking lemon tea, street drink of young people here and enjoy “nem chua ran”.

Moreover, there is the most beautiful view of Hanoi with spacious, airy, just subtle colors with ancient old French mansion, or the majestic cathedral, just bore out modern, youthful multitude of culinary stores, shopping new style, or the noise, bustle of the young people congregate here each evening.

Day 2

I can’t miss this chance to take joy in Hanoi Autumn. I will spend this morning to stroll through the city.

6.30am – 8am

Firstly, I go around the main streets, watch the local life.

In spite of the development of technology and modern media, Hanoi people prefer reading newspaper.

The morning in Hanoi start with newspaper.

…and go to the local market.

The smell of street food shops.
Parents take their child to the school.
The labor is cleaning the city

Every moment here touches my heart. I love my country more and more after a trip. There are many beautiful scenes, warm people. I have no doubt that you’ll fall in love with this land like me after visiting.

8.30am – 9am

Busy with city viewing, I forgot it was time for breakfast. So I move to “Cha ruoi” shop. This dish is tasty, nutritious, and no more place has it. Even in Hanoi, the number of shop selling this dish can count on the fingers.

Every year, from September to October – the surge season, “ruoi” will appear and local people take it to sale.

I’m so regret that the time in Hanoi Autumn is too short to explore more things. I hope I can return here one day to have further fabulous experiences to share with you 🙂
